John D. C. Masters is a photographer. JDCM photographs people, architecture, archeology, sports, and events throughout Greece, Europe, The United States, the Balkan Peninsula and the former Yugoslavia (Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia, and Montenegro). He also takes pictures in New York, Pittsburgh, and other parts of the USA. He shoots digital, in color and black and white. he also uses b/w film with rangefinders and SLRs, TLR, large format, medium format b/w film and digital. He is influenced by Joel Meyerowitz, Henri Cartier-Bresson, William Eggleston, Walker Evans, Wright Morris, Alex Webb, Rebecca Norris Webb and many others. He lives and works on the island of Paros and spends a lot of time at the Aegean Center for the Fine Arts working with John Pack and Liz Carson.
